Jordan Maxey and Devon Dunnowners + planning partnersOur story begins in 2009. We met while working for another wedding planning
company and it wasn’t long before we realized how much we had in common.
Casual conversations during the hustle of a wedding day revealed that we grew
up in the same part of Vancouver, shared a passion for detail and organization,
and above all, a true love for weddings. Before long our working relationship
blossomed into a friendship and from this we built the foundation for
Smitten Events.We launched Smitten Events in 2013 with the goal of approaching event
planning with dedication, creativity and experience. With diverse backgrounds
in marketing and fashion, and 10 years of experience in the wedding industry,
we create events that are intentional, full of meaningful details and incorporate
the personality of our clients. We take a collaborative approach to event planning
and love the opportunity to support our clients through the most important
events of life. We think that kindness is key and we make it our goal to do
everything with kindness, always.
FRANCESCA STEVENSevent plannerFrancesca joined Smitten in 2015 armed
with a certificate in Event Management
and a wealth of experience earned from
her roles within event decor, specialty
event rentals, photography and the
floral business. When she’s not working
behind the scenes to produce
thoughtful and detailed events for her
clients Francesca is a passionate world
traveller, creative DIY-er and energetic
Jill of all trades.
TORI PALYNCHUKevent plannerPlanning and design are a big part of
who Tori is. With a diverse background
that spans from the wedding industry
to university recruitment and a career
as an Interior Designer with one of
Vancouver’s top commercial firms,
Tori is as creative as she is incredibly
detailed and organized. Tori has been
creating countless meaningful and
personalized experiences with Smitten
since 2018.
Megan Ouseyevent plannerMegan joins Smitten from Whistler
where she gained extensive experience
with one of Whistler’s top planning
companies. In addition to wedding
planning, Meg’s background in
hospitality and event management
provides her with a diverse set of skills
which she pairs with a calming nature
and creative mind to put her clients at
ease through every step of the planning
process.
Jennifer Nanavatyevent plannerJennifer combines her love for the details
with hyper organization to create
events that are perfectly tailored to
each client she works with. Drawing
from experience within a large sports
organization planning corporate social
events for 50 to 25,000 guests, Jenn
is able to navigate high pressure
situations to create unique, meaningful
experiences for her clients and their
families.
Mariella Koc-Spadaroevent plannerFrom her role as the manager of a
historic Vancouver venue to catering
event specialist and facilitator of
university-level academic events, it’s
safe to say that Mariella’s extensive
experience in events is an asset to her
clients. Add to this her ability to
logistically problem solve with a can-do
attitude and you have a planner who will
confidently guide her clients through the
planning process.
